Purpose of Role The Internal Audit Intern supports internal audit activities by analyzing audit‑related data, documenting processes, and assisting with walkthroughs to validate controls. It helps maintain accurate records within the audit tool, performs quality assurance checks for completeness and accuracy, and researches regulatory requirements to support compliance efforts. By contributing to audit documentation and data‑driven insights, the role enhances overall audit quality and operational integrity.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in risk management is preferred but accounting, business administration, business analytics, finance, and information systems / technology data science are accepted.
  • Genuine interest in one or more of the program’s departmental tracks.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship, including, but not limited to, F-1, J-1, and M-1 visa holders, as well as individuals on CPT or OPT.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in analyzing audit-related data to identify trends and discrepancies.
  • Participate in walkthroughs and document processes for audit validation.
  • Research and summarize relevant regulatory requirements to support compliance.
  • Record completed work accurately within the audit tool (e.g., TeamMate).
  • Perform quality assurance checks on TeamMate files to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Support audit documentation efforts and contribute to data-driven insights.
  • Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.
  • At all times complying with Marex’s Code of Conduct.
  • To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility.
  • To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/or your supervisor as required.
  • To escalate risk events immediately.
  • To provide input to risk management processes, as required.
  • The Company may require you to carry out other duties from time to time.
