About The Position
The Surgical Services Intern will be responsible for assisting the Surgical Services team by providing administrative and analytical support. The role is designed for an individual seeking to grow their skill set in healthcare operations and analytics. Responsible for hands-on experience in developing audit tools, analyzing surgical performance data, and creating visual dashboards to trach and communicate key metrics. The positions will support initiatives aimed at improving workflows, educating staff with real-time feedback, and enhancing overall surgical services performance.
Requirements
- Some College - associates or bachelors level program
- Compose letters/memoranda
- Coordinate meetings
- Input data into computer program
- Maintain work area according to OSHA and NIOSH standards
- Schedule appointments
- Deals effectively with hospital personnel
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills
- Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills
- Maintains professional appearance and decorum at all times
- Requires ability to handle confidential information
- Requires extreme diplomacy and tact
- Research information
- Use computerized spreadsheets to conduct analysis
