The Wesco Legal Department is looking for a summer intern (10 - 12 weeks ) in Glenview, IL or Pittsburgh, PA. The intern will work directly under the supervision of one of our lawyers, focusing on legal issues in various practice areas, including, without limitation, for the employment, commercial, and litigation practice areas. The internship will provide real-world professional experience working for a Legal Department of a Fortune 200 global company. We are offering a 4-day program (32 hours/week) or 5-day program (40 hours/week) with 3 days in the Glenview or Pittsburgh office. Qualifications: Progress toward a Juris Doctor degree required (with an anticipated graduation date of May 2027 or later) Experience using generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot) and crafting effective prompts is a plus Willingness to work in a hybrid schedule (4 to 5 days / week) with on-site presence (Tues, Wed, Thurs) in Glenview, IL or Pittsburgh, PA required Excellent legal research skills (including, e.g., proficiency with Westlaw or Lexis, statutory and regulatory analysis, case synthesis) Strong technical skills as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT) Results oriented team player mindset High level of attention to detail and ability to multi-task Excellent verbal and written communication skills This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements. For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents.
