What will you do: Current college students of all levels will work as part of a larger team to provide hands-on support and design/development for various real-world aspects of our business. This could include work on Thermal & Solar Business Development, and Project Management Teams! In addition to working alongside full-time employees carrying out various functions for NorthStar Clean Energy, Engineering Interns will have the option to participate in several additional optional events within the program. This includes networking events, company tours, and volunteer projects. Engineering Intern assignments may include opportunities with: Lean process improvement throughout a project lifecycle Operating fleet support (natural gas, biomass, etc.) and supporting upcoming development with thermal and carbon capture projects Project administration including permitting, vegetation management, site quality inspections, and design reviews Development of visual management tools, analytics, and reporting of processes and project management Utilizing internal software and external programs including Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Share Point, SCADA, etc. There are so many new, exciting opportunities for our interns. Team members are expected to work 3 days from our Ann Arbor, MI office, with the remaining days remote. The exact schedule may vary based on team needs, project timelines, and individual preferences, and will be discussed during the interview process. We encourage you to apply if you possess the following: Actively enrolled and pursuing an ABET-accredited Engineering degree including Industrial, Environmental, or Civil. The following MUST be true to be eligible for an Intern role. Minimum GPA requirement of 2.7 or higher.
