About The Position

This position offers a structured, rotational sales internship designed to expose the teammate to consumer sales, corporate client prospecting, and premium hospitality sales. The intern will gain hands-on experience across both consumer and corporate sales disciplines while contributing to the development of a repeatable blueprint for career progression from ticketing into broader sales functions. The role is primarily housed in the Sales function with a planned cross-functional rotation through Consumer Sales, which operates within the Marketing function, aiming to build foundational sales skills across the full spectrum of Speedway Motorsports revenue channels.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and execute the consumer sales process at Charlotte Motor Speedway, building foundational competency in fan-facing revenue generation, including inbound and outbound fan engagement.
  • Contribute to the consumer sales and renewal process with measurable contact volume and conversion activity, building confidence and consistency in phone-based sales conversations.
  • Support the corporate sales pipeline by identifying, researching, and engaging prospective corporate clients and partners in the Charlotte market.
  • Create and execute outbound outreach to generate meetings for Business Development Executives, delivering a consistent pipeline of qualified meetings to the CMS corporate sales team.
  • Learn the premium hospitality product portfolio and support corporate sales efforts for suites, clubs, and hospitality experiences.
  • Develop working knowledge of all premium hospitality options and engage local corporate prospects through outreach and event attendance, contributing to pipeline development for premium products.
  • Document processes, learnings, and best practices from each rotation to support the development of a scalable sales career pathway.
  • Maintain a structured log of processes learned, skills developed, and key takeaways, contributing observations and recommendations for a repeatable onboarding framework.
  • Engage across sales and marketing teams to build organizational awareness and support the GLOBE mentality, building working relationships and participating in cross-functional events.
  • Demonstrate adaptability by contributing effectively in each rotation, including the transition between Marketing and Sales function work.
