Global Music Rights serves an invitation-only client base, creating customized solutions in a rapidly evolving music rights marketplace and offering personalized service for music creators and music licensees. The company offers clients exceptional analytics and robust data solutions to ensure comprehensive royalty tracking and collection. Global Music Rights prides itself on being an active and progressive advocate for copyright holders in the current performing rights marketplace and is committed to protecting the integrity of music rights and promoting the value of intellectual property on behalf of creators. Internship Objectives: Customer Service & Reporting: • Learn how we collect service and performance reporting from licensees across all our license categories and classes and how the information submitted is used to calculate applicable license fees based on our rate schedules. • Understand our reporting intake workflow. Validate and qualify reporting and inquiries received from licensees and capture all relevant details in our CRM system. • Learn our workflows around returned USPS mail and email bounce-backs. Review, categorize, scan, and capture returned physical mail and email in our CRM system, and identify necessary changes to our licensee records. • Review contact information updates submitted by licensees, research missing contact information, and update the records in our CRM system. • Perform online research on the licensees on our monitoring/audit list to help us enforce our license terms. Secure evidence of any unlicensed music use on websites and in social media. Sales Operations: • Learn how we’re organizing and analyzing our licensing and customer service work in Salesforce, our CRM system. Understand how Salesforce interacts with other tools like NetSuite, Outreach, and HubSpot. • Help our team manage our Salesforce data, identify and resolve duplicates, and improve our overall data health. • Review our reports and dashboards in Salesforce and identify and archive outdated versions to help maintain a clean and organized CRM environment. Infringement Investigations: • Learn how we investigate potential copyright infringements and collaborate with external parties and other teams. Identify target companies in Salesforce and through online research. • Help our team oversee investigations and organize, validate, and record completed investigation reports in our systems. Marketing Operations: • Be a part of the ongoing improvement of our email campaigns, landing pages, and marketing infrastructure. Understand our lead lifecycle model and lead scoring approach. • Support the team in doing research, proofreading templates, and other tasks during the development of our campaigns. • Get involved with the work we do to transition our website to a new Content Management System. Review design and content drafts and perform testing. • Develop proficiency with HubSpot’s drag-and-drop editor and assist in the process of building and editing landing pages and email templates. • Learn how to read and interpret marketing analytics and reporting. Recommend changes and optimizations to live campaigns. Our offices are located in Westwood Village. The hourly rate for the position is $17.87. This position is based in California and is subject to California employment laws and workplace safety requirements, including the Company’s Covid vaccination policy.
