About The Position

Harbinger is an American commercial electric vehicle (EV) company on a mission to transform an industry starving for innovation. Harbinger’s best-in-class team of EV, battery, and drivetrain experts have pooled their deep experience to bring a first-of-its-kind EV platform to support the growing demand for medium-duty EVs and Hybrids. Harbinger: Familiar Form, Revolutionary Foundation. Internship at a Glance: Location: Immerse yourself in our innovative culture! This role requires a commitment of 4 days in-office per week at our facility in Garden Grove, CA as well as full-time hours (40 hours a week). Duration: 10-11 weeks (May 26 to August 7 OR June 22 to August 28) Relocation Support: A $1,000 relocation stipend is available for interns currently residing more than 50 miles from Garden Grove, CA. Compensation: Earn an hourly rate of $25-35 USD per hour.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in Bachelor’s degree program or greater in any STEM field
  • Work authorized in the United States OR ability to obtain J-1/F-1 visa
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) knowledge
  • Understanding of cradle-to-grave product analysis
  • Sustainability metrics & reporting
  • Data analysis and management
  • Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with data visualization tools
  • Materials science basics; understanding of sustainable materials, recyclability, and toxicity

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ESG frameworks or GHG Protocol is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support the development, analysis, communication and implementation of chassis lifecycle strategies
  • Cross-functional collaboration to identify opportunities in product definition and procurement
  • CO₂e modelling to support circularity & recyclability initiatives
  • Assist team in developing sustainability criteria at vehicle level
  • Keep abreast of technical and business trends associated with EoL EV markets and help identify pros and cons of various approaches
