Thank you for your interest in First Merchants Bank's 2026 Summer Internship program! We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic college students for our 12-week paid summer internship program. The Private Wealth Advisors Intern will assist First Merchants Private Wealth Advisors in conducting day to day business with exposure to business development, investment management, private banking, client management, retirement plan services, operations, as well as fiduciary and consumer investment services. The Intern will spend a significant amount of time in each discipline including areas of analytics, presentation, projects, and product development. Below is what you can expect to learn from an internship with Private Wealth Advisors at First Merchants Bank: An overview of how a private wealth practice works The different lines of business inside of the practice and how they work together to meet client needs How to prepare for, execute, and debrief a client presentation The operations aspects of private wealth advising Investment management and private banking analysis Successful students will possess: Initiative Enthusiasm Strong Work Ethic Team Mentality Self-Motivation In addition to the learning objectives, all interns will participate as a group in a community service project, will have an opportunity to network with many of our Executive and Senior Leadership during a Meet & Greet event, and will present a summary of your summer during our final presentations.

Requirements

• be a Bachelor's (or higher) degree-seeking full-time student at an accredited college or university.
• be available to work 40 hours per week from May 18, 2026 through August 7, 2026.
• be authorized to work in the United States.
• possess a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• be able and willing to travel periodically throughout the First Merchants footprint.
