AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today’s five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected. Position Overview The Mechanical Engineering Intern will support spacecraft (C-Sat) and Payload Module (PLM) mechanical engineering activities across integration, test, and production operations. This role provides hands-on exposure to flight hardware development, including structural verification, tooling design, and manufacturing support. The intern will work closely with mechanical, integration & test (I&T), and manufacturing engineering teams to assist with hardware builds, nonconformance resolution, ground support equipment design, and structural test execution. This position is ideal for students interested in mechanical design, structural analysis, and spacecraft hardware development within a fast-paced aerospace production environment.
