About The Position

The company offers a robust summer internship program in the Chicagoland area, providing meaningful work assignments that immerse students in Baxter’s culture and offer practical experience. Interns are paired with a mentor, receive manager support, and have access to the entire Baxter employee community. This specific Marketing internship is within the Infusion Therapies and Platforms business, offering on-the-job experience working directly with marketing managers. Students will gain unique experiences in marketing, communications, and compliance, aiming to shape them into future business leaders. The internship requires the candidate to be local to the Deerfield, IL office.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude, team-oriented, adaptive to change, and collaborative
  • Actively involved in campus or community activities and organizations, preferably in leadership roles

Responsibilities

  • Support preparation for new product launch in the U.S.
  • Summarize and schedule read-out of pricing study results to determine final launch pricing
  • Schedule conference planning calls throughout the summer to work cross-functionally on a speaker event showcasing multiple pharmacy products
  • Interface with agency to create global marketing materials and high-level campaign graphics and messaging
  • Support teams where needed on initial sales training courses or customer segmentation analysis
  • Strategize seamless adoption of new products in EMR systems and coordinate expert interviews to inform internal teams
  • Support go-to-market strategy, launch and deployment
  • Support an AI driven initiative focused on exploring how AI tools can be applied to streamline documentation, process reviews, and cross functional workflows in areas such as product development, launches, and clinical/market interactions
