Typically, on event days, 8-hour shifts, though some event days may exceed 10 hours, including weekends. Non-event days will be used for event logistics planning. Tuesday - Saturday [8:00 am -- 5:00 pm] (majority on-site work) Daily hours are flexible depending on event schedule.

  • The candidate must currently be a student attending college/university or must have graduated in the last six (6) months.
  • Freshman or Sophomore OR (one or the other) Junior, Senior, or Graduate level student majoring in Public Affairs, Communications or Marketing or Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Proven working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.
  • Current Colorado driver’s license “R”, with a satisfactory driving record required
  • A background check including education and criminal history.
  • Driving is required; we'll also request: A motor vehicle background check. A pre-placement clinic appointment which may include a physical, drug and alcohol test, strength test, and worker’s compensation background test.
  • Applicants for employment at Denver Water must be authorized to work in the U.S.  Denver Water will not sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa.

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish language is a plus.
  • Preferred experience in retail customer service

Responsibilities

  • Provide logistic support for Denver Water activation at community events.
  • Provide external communication for event logistics and community engagement requests.
  • Represent Denver Water at community events.
  • Support materials organization and inventory management.
  • Coordinate and procure materials for internal engagement event requests.
  • Develop and promote internal communications to increase awareness and employee participation.
