About The Position

The Marketing & Communications intern will support the Integrated Marketing Department with promoting MNHS events, sites, and exhibits through assisting with writing and researching media business, tracking media coverage, and coordinating with MNHS departments on promotional materials such as flyers, brochures, and website updates.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student, or have graduated within the past 12 months at the time of application.
  • Ideal candidates might be currently pursuing, or a graduate with a degree in the following areas: Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism
  • The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of classroom experience in public relations, marketing, and/or journalism.
  • They should possess basic understanding of marketing principles, but do not need extensive experience prior to this internship.

Responsibilities

  • Tracking media coverage of MNHS
  • Occasional on-site coordination of media interviews
  • Assisting with writing for media alerts and marketing materials
  • Social media ideation and execution
  • making website updates, including calendar events
  • Learning from seasoned marketing professionals
