About The Position
About the Program: The Zayo Summer Internship Program is designed to cultivate the next generation of telecommunications professionals. Interns will gain meaningful, hands-on experience within a dynamic, fast-paced, and innovative environment. Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, IT, or related field
- Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS)
- Familiarity with Linux systems
- Interest in monitoring, infrastructure, and performance analysis
- Willingness to learn enterprise monitoring tools
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to monitoring tools (CheckMK, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Basic understanding of SNMP or log monitoring
- Scripting knowledge (Python or Bash)
Responsibilities
- Help configure monitoring for servers and cloud infrastructure
- Support dashboard creation using Prometheus and Grafana
- Assist with log management and search using OpenSearch
- Help validate alerts and reduce monitoring gaps
- Document onboarding and monitoring procedures
