As a Human Resources Intern, you will spend your time focusing on projects that provide practical learning in talent acquisition, organizational development as well as, compensation & benefits. The intern will be able to build on their academic learning by applying their knowledge and skills in a professional setting. Here's what to expect: Interns will experience the day-to-day operations of the corporate HR function as well as project-based work that will be managed throughout the program and owned by all interns in the summer internship program. Exposure to all areas of the human resource field including partnering on organizational development, compensation, benefits, and policy and procedure administration Participate and contribute to key HR initiatives and projects Develop an understanding of multiple HR areas and processes Engage and collaborate with key business stakeholders Gain exposure to UFG's Leadership team through various networking events, including participation in the Build Your Own Network Program. Participate in a variety of development and social activities with interns from other business units. Here's what it takes:

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Must be completing your junior or senior year of a four-year baccalaureate program.
  • Prior office or administrative work experience preferred.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to provide quality customer service.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to quickly learn human resources applications (HRIS, ATS, document management, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Exposure to all areas of the human resource field including partnering on organizational development, compensation, benefits, and policy and procedure administration
