JOB SUMMARY – To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. To provide practical, professional experience for the college student while contributing to the overall goals of their designated department. The intern will assume a primary role in projects working either independently or as part of a team, as well as perform other activities that will support the overall objectives of the area they are assigned to. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Project Overview: The HR Intern will focus on a Career Development Path initiative designed to improve employee understanding of growth opportunities within the organization. The scope of the project includes assessing the current state of career development, identifying gaps in communication and understanding and developing employee-facing and manager-facing resources that clearly articulate how career growth and development work here at Angio.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a 2 or 4 year college Level Degree in the related field of study (HR, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or similar)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to synthesize information and identify themes
  • Comfortable engaging with employees and leaders in a professional setting
  • Interest in career development, learning and employee engagement
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient in the following computer software applications: Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance. instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

  • Work on projects that will develop tools and resources for employees and managers that will provide clarity around career growth and development opportunities within the organization.
  • Attend and participate in department meetings.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and forms.
  • Use Excel, Word, Project Management, or Visio to create correspondence, spreadsheets, forms, graphs, flowcharts, etc.
  • Provide customer service to the department’s internal and external customers.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant quality and regulatory/legal requirements.
  • Assess the current state of career development understanding within specific departments
  • Create tools that support managers in having more effective career development conversations
  • Identify ways to improve consistency in how career development is communicated
  • May perform other duties as assigned
  • Manages in order to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory/legal requirements
  • Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements
