About The Position

Cytokinetics is a specialty cardiovascular biopharmaceutical company, building on its over 25 years of pioneering scientific innovations in muscle biology, and advancing a pipeline of potential new medicines for patients suffering from diseases of cardiac muscle dysfunction. We are seeking a highly motivated Intern to join our Global Supply Chain & Data Science group at Cytokinetics. Job Description: The Digital intern will engage with the Global Logistics function to enhance operational monitoring capabilities in the post-launch environment. This intern will deliver digital assets which increase the speed of Logistics decision-making, shorten the time needed to identify logistics exceptions, and reduce manual effort in Logistics reporting. The intern will primarily serve Logistics stakeholders, with secondary responsibilities in Planning, Finance, Clinical Supply Chain, Procurement, and Change Management. In accordance with team ways of working, the intern will also engage with the program management and portfolio team in order to properly register digital assets. The intern will be exposed to best-of-breed tools for data management, including Tableau, AWS Sagemaker, Postgres databases, and other technical products. They will utilize a technical skill set including SQL scripting for data modeling, Tableau visualization and dashboard building, and cloud data management. Additionally, the intern will employ softer skills such as change management, requirements gathering (translating technical work to a non-technical audience), and stakeholder presentations as the technical work is delivered to the functional teams.

Requirements

• The position requires a motivated individual with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Pursuing BS degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Data Science or related area
• Proficient in data modeling using SQL; understanding of Python, R, or other scripting languages
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to support projects and meet defined deliverables
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize data and present information effectively

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Excel and Tableau, including data organization, basic calculations, and development of dashboards and visualizations is a bonus
