About The Position

As a Ports America Summer Finance Intern, you will have the opportunity to put your collegiate experiences and knowledge into action by working on high-impact projects within our Finance Department. Throughout your time, you will be exposed to the various financial functions that support a dynamic maritime company. You will gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting while adding value to a critical part of our business. You will work closely with accounting, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), and operational teams, as well as external partners, to help support the financial needs of a major terminal operation. Requirements

Enrollment at a college/university/trade school through Summer 2026 and/or into the Fall 2026 semester
Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field
Valid US Driver’s License
Ability to obtain / maintain TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card)

Nice To Haves

GPA of 2.5 or higher
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Enthusiasm and eagerness to learn
Strong computer skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Familiarity with financial systems or data analysis tools is a plus

Responsibilities

Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
Support month-end and year-end close activities
Analyze financial data and prepare reports to support business decisions
Help track and manage operating expenses and capital projects
Participate in financial modeling and variance analysis
Assist with process documentation and improvements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand operational financial impacts
Support audits and compliance documentation as needed
