About The Position

As the Field Engineering Intern you will be joining a strong technical service environment. In this role, you will have an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals within the field of industrial water treatment. You will gain exposure supporting water treatment systems and assist the organization in achieving its annual goals and objectives as an active participant. This is a full-time, 12 week internship, with an anticipated start date of May 26, 2026. Nature of work: establish a comprehensive inventory of all equipments (ownership and responsibilities) used by Veolia to meet contractual obligations, including tanks, pumps, injection lines, online sensors, and controllers etc. Following this, developing a detailed preventive maintenance (PM) plan and determining required spare parts inventory and creating tracking tools to monitor the execution of PM tasks and facilitate accurate invoicing.

Requirements

  • Basic mechanical skills to help troubleshoot chemical feed equipment
  • Computer skills - use of Gsuite, Visio, and online data Management
  • Strong teamwork & communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and maintain deliverables in a fast-paced work environment
  • This role is best suited for anyone currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) program (Chemical, Environmental, Industrial, or Mechanical) or a Chemistry Bachelor of Science (BSc) program.
  • Consideration will also be given to other science-based technical programs and degrees.

Responsibilities

  • Generate system drawings, PFDs, for use in on-site manuals and proposals
  • Actively monitor process equipment performance through online tools
  • Assist in completing monthly reporting requirements
  • Perform field checks on process equipment (flows, pH, conductivity, chemical residuals, etc.)
  • Work with supervisors on plant equipment optimization opportunities
