About The Position

Are you interested in customer relationship marketing and curious how email and SMS campaigns come to life? Are you eager to learn, stay organized, and support a fast-paced marketing team? If you love pets (and marketing), this could be a great fit for you! The Email Marketing Intern will support the email marketing team for Pet Supplies Plus and Wag N’ Wash, gaining hands-on exposure to lifecycle marketing across two national brands. You’ll work in a positive, collaborative team environment where mentorship, hands-on learning, and teamwork are core to the internship experience. This internship is designed to provide real-world exposure to how email and SMS campaigns are planned, built, tested, launched, and analyzed – with guidance and support from the Email Marketing team.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• Interest in email marketing and an eagerness to learn how brands use digital channels to communicate with customers.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn in a collaborative team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with common spreadsheet or data organization tools.
• Basic understanding of digital marketing, email, or SMS concepts.
• Introductory knowledge of HTML.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day execution of email and SMS campaigns under team guidance.
• Assist with basic email builds in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and SMS setup in Attentive, including proofing, testing, QA, and scheduling.
• Help ensure accuracy, functionality, and compliance with email and SMS best practices.
• Assist with audience documentation, basic performance reporting, and post-campaign organization.
• Support administrative tasks such as organizing campaign assets and documentation.
• Participate in team meetings and learning sessions to gain exposure to campaign workflows and tools.
