About The Position

As a Communications and Public Relations Intern, you’ll dive into the exciting world of communications and PR, gaining hands-on experience while supporting the organization’s efforts to engage with the media and collaborate with outside vendors. This experience provides opportunities to build confidence in and strengthen professional communication skills. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a part in showcasing the vital work of neurologists to the public, giving you invaluable experience in shaping public perception and media relations.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED is required
• Must be enrolled as a student working towards a degree in communications, public relations, or other related field is required
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point is required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously is required
• Strong attention to detail is required
• Ability to handle confidential information is required
• Strong customer service skills are required
• Ability to excel and stay organized in a fast-paced environment with daily deadlines is required

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of media monitoring services is preferred
• Understanding of Associated Press (AP) style is preferred
