The Marketing & Communications Intern role is to assist and support the Marketing and Communications team (MarCom) in the overall daily operations of marketing, communication and public relations efforts. Possess clear, concise, effective written and oral communication skills to effectively express thoughts, ideas and concepts to management, bank employees and bank customers in a collaborative and solutions oriented manner. Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding bank client information and bank policy and procedure. Basic analytical, problem-solving and decision making skills. Detail oriented with good organizational skills. Ability to work independently and meet communicated Team player with a positive outlook. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides assistance and support for marketing campaigns/promotions. Assists with the creative development and/or implementation of marketing campaigns, including – but not limited to – print ads, posters, in-branch signage, flyers and teller take-ones. Assists with internal and external communications, including but not limited to – researching, drafting, proofing, distribution and process management. Assists with market research including competitive comparisons as requested. Assists with client event planning support and implementation. Completes tasks and assigned projects according to established completion dates. Develops knowledge and understanding of department and Bank functions. Contributes in a team environment to service customer or business needs to support the success of the department and Bank. Develops knowledge and understanding of compliance and regulatory issues, policies and guidelines within the department and Bank. Maintains a position of trust and responsibility by keeping all employee information and customer business confidential. Provides exemplary customer service in person, by email or by telephone. Other duties may be assigned. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner. Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Proficient computer skills and the ability to learn various Banking Software programs. Willingness to learn new technologies.
