Requirements

  • Desired majors include: Business (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, Business Administration), Maritime Business Administration, or other closely related fields of study.
  • Concurrent enrollment in a Bachelor's degree seeking program for the duration of the experience.
  • Strong academic performance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, with strong Microsoft Excel skills, is preferred.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week.
  • A valid driver's license is required (travel may be involved with this position).

  • Military experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supports enhancements to the TowWorks marine logistics tool used to manage and track Inland Marine activity.
  • Develops and refines logistical mapping of inland waterway systems to support Inland Marine operations.
  • Assists with equipment planning by analyzing and overlaying forecasted supply and demand volumes.
  • Prepares and delivers presentations comparing planned versus actual marine activity and performance metrics.
  • Supports data integrity initiatives, including data cleansing, validation, and maintenance across marine logistics systems.
  • Gains exposure to financial and cash flow modeling to evaluate potential growth and expansion opportunities.
  • Collaborates with maintenance and operations teams to develop a broader understanding of marine asset reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Participates in hands‑on learning experiences, including facility tours and ride‑along opportunities on marine vessels in the Catlettsburg harbor.
