How You’ll Help Us Connect the World As a Federal Sales Business Development Manager Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the Federal Sales Managers in engaging with new and existing customers as part of the Federal Sales team. You will work closely with the Federal Sales team, in engaging with federal integrator customers and our core distributors in order to exponentially enhance our sales revenue goals. This role will be based in the Maryland / Northern Virginia vicinity. You Will Make an Impact By Quickly learning and understanding the go to market strategies of our DoD and Civilian Federal Sales Managers Understanding CommScope’s core structured cabling solutions Proactively engaging with customers and potential customers to develop or enhance the Federal Sales effort – diligently following up with leads and supporting large project opportunities. Establishing in person or TEAMs meetings for the Federal Sales team with end users, consultants, or key federal integrators Proactively following up with distribution on the status of open quotes and enhancing CommScope’s position to win opportunities. Effectively working within CommScope’s internal staff, including Federal Sales, Field Sales, Solution Engineers, Customer Service, Product Line Management, and Leadership

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor’s (upcoming sophomores, juniors & seniors) or master’s degree in the following Business Administration, Marketing, or Computer Science from an accredited university
  • Proven strong academic performer with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PPT., Word, and Xcel is necessary.
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship
  • Military-Affiliated candidates encouraged to apply (Veterans, Military Spouses, and Guard/Reservists)
