About The Position

MOHELA is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our Business
Development & Government Relations team. This opportunity is ideal for a student
eager to gain real-world experience in business development, government
relations, and marketing within a dynamic corporate environment.

The intern will gain exposure to market research and analysis, product
development, sales goal setting, and customer support, while leveraging existing
corporate skills and competencies. A significant portion of this role will focus
on supporting and maintaining a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database
and learning how it is used to support and drive the sales process.

Requirements

• Candidates must reside within 1 hour of our Columbia, MO or Chesterfield, MO office and be able to work onsite.
• Enrollment in an accredited Missouri college or university in an undergraduate program in business, marketing, psychology, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Microsoft Office Suite competency.
• Creative mindset with a passion for brand communication.
• Basic data analysis and Excel skills (experience of data visualization tools a plus).
• Availability to travel to a minimum of one industry conference.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain contact records as needed
• Support customer management and tracking activities
• Organize shared folders, templates, and contact lists
• Inventory and organize materials, assets, and archives
• Assist with the development of email, social media, blog, and newsletter content
• Collect and organize customer testimonials and success stories
• Coordinate meetings and prepare post-event recaps
• Track approvals and deadlines for outreach activities
• Potential travel to and participation in an industry conference
