About The Position

The Business Development Intern supports Hyland’s global OEM & Technology Partnerships organization by helping identify, evaluate, and advance new and existing partner opportunities. This role is ideal for a student interested in strategic partnerships, business development, and enterprise technology. You’ll gain hands-on experience working with alliance managers, sales, product, legal, and marketing teams to support partner engagement, outbound prospecting, pipeline tracking, and opportunity qualification. This internship offers direct exposure to the OEM business model and the strategic relationships that fuel Hyland’s growth. This role will be onsite in our Westlake, OH office

Responsibilities

  • Participate in discovery and alignment calls with OEM/ISV prospects and existing partners to gather information, assess fit, and support early-stage deal qualification.
  • Research potential new OEM partners, build targeted prospect lists, and support outbound campaigns (email + LinkedIn + light calling).
  • Prepare partner-facing materials including intros, value statements, solution summaries, and follow-up communications.
  • Track partner engagement activity in internal systems and ensure pipelines, stages, and notes are up to date.
  • Support review and coordination of partner requests (certifications, documentation, product questions, commercial terms) by routing to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Assist with opportunity preparation for Account Managers and Alliance leadership, ensuring clear documentation and accurate context for handoff.
  • Contribute to competitive and market intelligence summaries for targeted OEM categories.
  • Maintain consistency of OEM partner data across trackers, Salesforce opportunities, and internal reports.
  • Support event logistics for partner meetings, QBRs, or trade‑show‑driven OEM conversations.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Product, GRC, Legal, Marketing) to prepare structured inputs for leadership review.
