What You Will Do As an EHS Intern Technician, you will be responsible for implementing EHS program elements, performing inspections, conducting inventories related to machine guarding, equipment and associated LOTO points, and assisting with communication and training.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a degree program in S afety or related program

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information, listen to instruction, and ask questions as needed to successfully complete tasks.
  • Identify problems, communicate timely, and provide solutions when possible or identify people who can help resolve problems.
  • Math skills to calculate percentages, convert weights, and solve basic math problems.
  • Basic Word, Excel, and PowerPoint experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with equipment inventory.
  • Participate in and support GEMBA walks for all departments.
  • Assist with machine guarding program.
  • Conduct various safety and environmental inspections.
  • Learn to utilize electronic management systems to enter data and evaluate existing programs.
  • Assist with chemical inventory and SDS review for each department.
  • Review PW forklift and other PIV equipment and assist with training.
  • Frequently walk, sit, perform computer related tasks.
