Intermediate Analyst FIOA
About The Position
INTERMEDIATE ANALYSTS - FOIA Crowned Grace International is recruiting an Intermediate Analyst FIOA for the Veterans Administration (VA) with experience in the Freedom of Information Act (FIOA). The Intermediate Analyst performs mid-level supervision. The intermediate analyst reviews and interprets FOIA requests. Conducts or validates searches, applies exemptions, and prepares releasable documents that meet statutory and VA requirements. The Intermediate Analyst provides technical accuracy, consistency, and support to junior staff while contributing to efficient workflow management and quality FOIA production.
Requirements
- Meets or exceeds all Junior FOIA requirements.
- Minimum of two (2) FOIA request processing within the last 36 months.
- Comprehensive knowledge of FOIA exemptions, request types, timeliness, and fee categories.
- Ability to analyze and interpret FOIA requests and determine tasking and search requirements.
- Skilled in conducting or validating searches for responsive records,
- Proficient in applying redaction software and accurately documenting exemption decisions.
- Strong written communication skills for drafting responses and summaries
- Associate's degree in a related field
- A successful background check and drug screen is required
Nice To Haves
- FOIA-related training preferred.
- Additional FOIA experience may substitute for formal FOIA training or degree requirements.
