The Interior Technician I assists in the removal, repair, installation, and/or fabrication of custom aircraft interior assemblies and components. This role involves performing various tasks related to aircraft interiors, including floorboards, dado panels, wet barriers, seats, decorative sidewall, ceiling, valance, door surrounds, MSA window shades, moon mats, and insulation. Technicians are expected to inspect, remove, repair, and install interior pieces such as doors, galleys, bulkheads, floorboards, emergency path lighting, gill liners, closets, and lavatories. The position requires adherence to the RSQM, Federal Aviation Regulations, Airworthiness Directives, Advisory Circulars, manufacturer’s service bulletins, and other required references, always using proper, current, and applicable approved or acceptable data. Maintaining a high standard of safety and cleanliness in the work area, proper tagging and storage of components, and accurate documentation are crucial. The technician must ensure correct tool and equipment usage and return. Continuous process improvement and efficient execution with safety as a priority are encouraged. Close communication with the Lead Technician regarding progress and potential roadblocks is essential. The role also involves dealing with customers cordially and professionally, aiming for the highest quality service, safety standards, and performance to exceed customer satisfaction in the re-delivery of airworthy, reliable, and clean aircraft in a timely manner. Participation in required training is also expected.
