About The Position

The Interior Finish Technician is responsible for the removal and installation of wall vinyl, paint, casework finish, and wall hangings required for wall finishing projects in a safe and professional manner. This role involves being knowledgeable in paint, paste, casework finish, wall finish product applications, and small wall patching repair. The technician may be required to assist other Construction Services trades to complete construction projects. Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to differentiate colors precisely. The position utilizes various machines and equipment such as paint sprayers, vinyl machines, and basic tools, and requires the ability to work on high equipment like lifts and ladders. Adherence to established safety rules and regulations, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and compliance with Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) are crucial. The role demands flexibility with indoor and outdoor working conditions, and travel may be required (estimated 10%).

Requirements

• Knowledgeable in paint, paste, casework finish, wall finish product applications, and small wall patching repair
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to differentiate colors precisely
• Able to work on high equipment, such as lifts, ladders etc.
• Flexibility with indoor and outdoor working conditions
• When applicable, may need a valid driver's license
• If valid driver's license is required, must maintain a good driving record

Nice To Haves

• Trade school, vocational school or apprenticeship in interior finish related field preferred
• Minimum of one year experience in commercial wall finish and repair preferred

Responsibilities

• Remove and install wall vinyl, paint, casework finish, and wall hangings required for wall finishing projects in a safe and professional manner
• Repair and replace vinyl wall covering
• Perform dry wall repair
• Sand and stain doors
• Assist other Construction Services trades to complete construction projects (may be required)
• Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
• Keep in compliance with the Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA)
