About The Position

The Interior Designer II is a mid-level design professional responsible for contributing to the development of interior environments through all project phases — from concept design to construction administration. This role requires a balance of creativity, technical skills, and project coordination abilities. The designer works both independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, under moderate supervision, while capable of mentoring junior staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in Interior Design.
  • 5+ years of experience in interior design with a proven track record of successful project management.
  • Software proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office; SketchUp and Bluebeam preferred.
  • Strong understanding of space planning, construction detailing, materials, codes, and FF&E.
  • Photoshop ( editing) and InDesign (presentations.)

Nice To Haves

  • Working towards NCIDQ Certificate
  • LEED accreditation or similar sustainable design certification.
  • Experience in a specific design sector (e.g., commercial, hospitality).

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the conceptual and schematic design process, contributing creative ideas, space planning, and material selection.
  • Develop design presentations including mood boards, renderings, finish palettes, and graphic narratives.
  • Prepare detailed furniture layouts, finish plans, and interior elevations.
  • Assist in maintaining design intent throughout documentation and construction.
  • Produce accurate, coordinated, and detailed drawings using Revit or AutoCAD.
  • Prepare finish schedules, specifications, and product documentation.
  • Coordinate with architectural and engineering teams to ensure design integration.
  • Review and redline drawings for quality control and consistency.
  • Research and evaluate materials, furnishings, and lighting for performance, sustainability, and budget alignment.
  • Prepare and coordinate FF&E packages, including procurement documentation when applicable.
  • Understand building codes, ADA requirements, and relevant interior design standards.
  • Contribute to cost estimating and value-engineering discussions.
  • Accuracy and completeness of documentation.
  • Responsiveness to internal and external coordination.
  • Ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Contribution to project design quality and client satisfaction.
  • Engagement in firm culture and mentorship of junior staff.
