About The Position

Responsible to provide comprehensive support of computer system software and applications used by Vancouver Clinic. Work directly with management and users to conduct studies and analyses of requirements for system solutions. Will need to be able to work on-site as needed. Hiring Range: $78,000/yr - $100,000/yr commensurate with experience. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain the integrity of clinic interfaces to/from Epic, to/from ancillary applications such as Change Healthcare, Nuance PowerScribe, Hyland OnBase, SureScripts and others as applicable Provide support of interfaces of the Epic software system and within the Cloverleaf interface engine Provide interface support including knowledge of HL7 message structure and error handling Design, create, and maintain interface documentation Participate in after-hours interface testing with software updates, firewall changes, and upgrades. Act as a liaison between Epic software and vendor software to resolve integration issue. This will include coordinating changes to the software, producing design specifications and tracking development activities for assigned projects Participate in the development of project proposals, coordinate and perform the development of system specifications and designs, define system interface requirements and specifications Assist and coordinate with other software analysts in the installation, testing, implementation and training of modifications, new releases and new software implementations Coordinate resources, schedules and communications for system development, testing implementation and support. Develop project schedules and assign/perform tasks Assist with third party software evaluations to ensure products work in alignment with TVC network standards and assist in creating process workflows for data that may need to be placed into the clinic EHR Communicate effectively and willingly in a positive manner with clinic and department staff so as to represent the I.S. department according to clinic mission statement and department standards Triage and troubleshoot trouble tickets as applicable Design, create, and test reports to solve complex business problems using SQL, and other database tools. SKILLS and ABILITIES: Proven ability to communicate effectively, both in written and oral form. Proven ability to work as part of a team, in a fast-paced production-oriented environment. Proven ability to satisfy customers and enhance software usage, in a production environment. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s or technical degree in related field (computer science, information systems, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience providing software support and project management, preferably in a healthcare environment. Minimum of two years’ experience with standard applications such as MS-Excel, MS-Word, email, FTP. Minimum of two years’ experience with clinical practice management systems and reporting tools. Current Epic Bridges Interface certification or acquisition within 120 days of hire: E-Prescribing badge, FHIR badge.
