Intensive Outpatient Therapist – Adolescents (ASD + Mental Health) Schedule: Monday–Thursday 10:00am–6:00pm + flexible daytime hours on Friday Salary: $54,000–$56,000 per year Location: High Focus Centers – Radnor, PA About the Program At High Focus Centers in Radnor, PA, we are committed to helping adolescents and their families achieve lasting mental wellness. We are launching a specialized Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) designed for teens with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who also present with a mental health diagnosis. This program provides a supportive and therapeutic environment where teens can build essential skills for managing emotional, behavioral, and social challenges. The IOP is tailored to meet the unique needs of neurodiverse adolescents, offering a structured, evidence-based curriculum focused on: Emotion regulation and distress tolerance Coping and problem-solving strategies Communication skill building Social interaction and self-advocacy Family engagement and support Teens participate alongside peers who share similar lived experiences, promoting validation, connection, and confidence. Position Overview The Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Therapist plays a key clinical role in facilitating therapeutic groups, conducting assessments, coordinating care, and supporting families throughout treatment. This position is well-suited for clinicians experienced with ASD, neurodiversity, adolescent mental health, behavioral challenges, or higher levels of care.

Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with clinical specialization), or related human services field, with completion of a clinical internship.
  • Experience: Previous experience with adolescent behavioral health, ASD/neurodevelopmental populations, or higher levels of care (IOP, PHP, inpatient, residential, or school-based) is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of adolescent mental health, neurodevelopmental disorders, and co-occurring conditions.
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and group facilitation.
  • Ability to engage families and support generalization of skills to home and community environments.
  • Strong documentation, organization, and time management skills.
  • Commitment to trauma-informed and person-centered care.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder or neurodiversity preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate group therapy sessions for adolescents participating in the ASD + mental health IOP.
  • Provide clinical support to teens and their families through structured group work and periodic family sessions.
  • Conduct approximately 6–8 Level of Care Assessments per week based on program needs.
  • Develop and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, caregivers, and the treatment team.
  • Evaluate behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs to inform treatment planning and service recommendations.
  • Prepare therapeutic materials and ensure supportive, consistent facilitation aligned with evidence-based curriculum.
  • Maintain timely and compliant documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, assessments, and discharge summaries.
  • Perform insurance reviews and collect co-pays as applicable.
  • Meet clinical productivity expectations consistent with a full-time schedule.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, supervision, and required trainings.
  • Provide crisis intervention and ensure a safe, structured, and therapeutic group environment.
  • Uphold ethical standards, support compliance, and contribute to positive program outcomes.
