About The Position

Chestnut Health Systems™ is seeking a full-time Outpatient Therapist to provide integrated co-occurring mental health and substance use services in Granite City, IL. This daytime position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative, trauma-informed care environment focused on whole-person wellness and recovery. This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus. We deliver fully integrated care by combining behavioral health treatment with community-based primary health centers. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field.
  • Must qualify as a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) in Illinois.
  • Current Illinois licensure required: LMFT, LCSW, or LCPC.
  • Willingness to complete training in the Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA) and obtain CRA certification within 3 months of training.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, email, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Ability and willingness to provide telehealth services as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy to clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Support clients in achieving self-directed recovery and regaining control of their lives.
  • Deliver services using evidence-based practices, including the Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA).
  • Promote recovery-oriented principles including trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, wellness, and connectedness.
  • Coordinate care and link clients with community resources such as DCFS, probation/parole, courts, medical providers, and natural supports.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Provide telehealth services as required by funding sources, client needs, and supervisory direction.
  • Foster positive relationships within Chestnut and the broader community to sustain a strong program reputation.
