KyUMH works in collaboration with the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) to support children who are placed with caregivers across the state of Kentucky and potentially contiguous states. The goals of the Home-Study Post Release Services Program (HS/PRS) are to: Assess the safety and suitability of a sponsor before an unaccompanied child is released into a sponsor’s care (Home Study). Provide case management support to ensure the continued safety and stability of children in sponsor’s homes and linking children to resources in the community (Post Release Services). The Intensive Case Manager is responsible for intensive case management services that the family needs additional support for. An Intensive Case Manager focuses on stabilizing the family unit and the intervention(s) utilized should be tailored to the needs of the family and connect the released child and sponsor family with community-based services to address concerns that require long-term care. PRS Intensive Case Managers provide Level Three (3) PRS and may also provide Level Two (2) PRS and Level (1) PRS
