About The Position

The Intensive Services Supervisor reports directly to the Intensive Services Program Administrator within the BH division. This position will perform assessments, recovery planning, resource navigation, referrals to appropriate community services, and outpatient behavioral health services to include crisis services as needed, to individuals in services across the entire LifePath Systems continuum of care. Supervisor provides regular individual and group coaching to all direct reporting workforce members as needed, to ensure fidelity requirements are being met, and that workforce members are maintaining service provision and documentation standards. Supervision will consist of observation and regular discussion with team members regarding areas in which they need additional clinical guidance. Supervisor will maintain a caseload, provide a full-service array as allowed by credentials and will also cover team members’ caseloads as needed. Supervisor ensures effective communication in all areas including provider operations and performance. Supervisor is also responsible for coordinating interdisciplinary team meetings as needed. Monitoring and addressing performance issues, ensuring compliance, reviewing/approving time sheets and time-off requests, and arranging for adequate coverage of staff is expected. Works with PA regarding any administration needs resulting from team not fulfilling requirements. Conducts regular team meetings to promote cohesiveness and service oversight. Meetings have clear training agendas with sign-in sheets and minutes. Is responsible for monitoring services, assigning caseloads, and ensuring that services are provided in a welcoming, trauma-informed environment based on person-centered recovery goals. This position ensures appropriate services are provided on the Assertive Community Treatment and Level of Care 3 teams. This position uses initiative and a passionate commitment to provide holistic care to individuals in services as well as diverting from emergency rooms, hospitals, and jails. Intensive Services Supervisor responsibilities include ensuring individuals receive timely access to appropriate services, working with the entire LifePath Systems team and other community organizations to identify needs and reduce barriers to improve social determinants of health. Must be effective at troubleshooting and organizing support, interventions, and services to achieve outcomes. Other duties may be assigned as needed. This position exemplifies service excellence by holding direct reports accountable for providing outpatient behavioral health services to include crisis services as needed. Services will be provided with a trauma-informed and person-centered approach. This position practices stewardship of resources by using time effectively with those served and seeks opportunities to expand service provision efforts. In addition, they ensure all required trainings are completed prior to due date and center-issued equipment is kept in good repair. The Intensive Services Supervisor will link individuals to additional resources as needed to support their goals. Integrity is necessary to ensure adherence to the Health and Human Services Commission, Texas Administrative Code, contracts, applicable grants, UM guidelines, and Lifepath Systems policies and procedures. This position will work closely with Adult Fidelity managers and the Program Administrator to ensure that all gaps are reconciled. This position builds positive relationships with local police agencies, social service organizations, and mental health professionals in an effort to increase collaboration with community stakeholders and partners. This position demonstrates professional conduct with Peers, Leadership and Support teams at all times. In addition, close working relationships and professional conduct while coordinating care with outside entities is required. Working independently and collaboratively to maintain appropriate boundaries and foster better outcomes for individuals served while facilitating improvement in measurable ways, is central to LifePath Systems mission to serve. This position must have the ability to assess and de-escalate behavioral health crisis situations in a calm and respectful manner. Specific Targets: Supervises team productivity, timeliness, schedules, and quality of services on a weekly basis and ensures team members receive additional training as needed. Hiring new employees and completing performance reviews before the deadline is expected. Engagement with individuals served and exceptional customer service will be provided and documented in the electronic health record a minimum of 24 hours per month. 90% of service notes are signed within 2 business days of service. 75% of full chart reviews receive a score of 80 or higher in following the Golden Thread. Will maintain community-based calendar with stakeholders and partners information and report to supervisor weekly for utilization time and recommendation for future partnerships. If Bilingual and receiving stipend, employee will be available to translate for other staff as needed and will utilize approved language in the provision of services as needed.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, nursing or related field from a four-year college or university that meets the Texas Administrative Code for requirements for a Qualified Mental Health Professional- Clinical Services (QMHP-CS).
  • Must have at least three years of clinical experience in the treatment of individuals with mental illness and/or substance abuse disorders.
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships with key interfacing teams, be a self-starter who works closely with all team members and takes initiative in completing tasks.

  • Will work under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement as well as identifying when a licensed professional needs to be consulted.
  • Knowledge of the social services system with the ability to connect individuals with appropriate services.
  • Must be organized, detail oriented, computer proficient, and able to write clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to respond with individuals and staff with patience, empathy, and understanding.
  • Have ability to multitask and be able to provide exceptional customer service in a busy working environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or related fields with unrestricted license as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT preferred.
  • 2 years leadership or supervisory experience highly preferred.
  • Experience with Assertive Community Treatment highly preferred.
