Requirements

  • 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree
  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Candidate must meet ONE of the following: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering; OR Relevant DoD/military training (example: Research & Development Specialist (Intermediate) Playlist); OR Relevant professional certification or equivalent experience (example: Security+).
  • Systems integration, middleware, or software engineering experience supporting enterprise interfaces.
  • Practical experience with APIs (REST/SOAP), message brokers/queues, ETL/ELT tools, and data transformation/mapping.
  • Proficiency developing ICDs, schema definitions, data mappings, and technical interface specifications.
  • Experience with integration testing, CI/CD pipelines for integrations, monitoring/observability for interfaces, and incident troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of secure integration practices and ability to support RMF/ATO evidence and accreditation requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior DoD/ARNG integration experience and familiarity with Section F/enterprise interoperability artifacts.
  • Experience with API gateways, stream processing (e.g., Kafka), cloud integration patterns, and automation of integration deployments.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement system integration solutions (APIs, ETL/ELT, message queues, web services) to enable secure, reliable machine‑to‑machine communication and data exchange across enterprise applications.
  • Analyze interface requirements and develop technical specifications, data mappings, schemas, protocols, and interface control documents (ICDs).
  • Implement automated information exchanges to support interoperability and consistent data flows between internal and external systems.
  • Align integration activities with Agile, DevSecOps, and system development lifecycle processes; support automated deployment pipelines and versioned releases.
  • Collaborate with developers, DBAs, cybersecurity personnel, and functional stakeholders to validate integration logic, dependencies, and security controls.
  • Monitor interface health, perform maintenance/updates, and apply configuration management and DoD standards to changes across dev/test/staging/production.
  • Conduct impact analysis and testing (automated and manual) for integration changes; troubleshoot and resolve interface incidents.
  • Produce and maintain interface documentation, technical diagrams, data dictionaries, and interoperability artifacts to support sustainment and accreditation.
