Requirements

  • Associate degree and/or at least two years of experience with the CSBG or other community service programs.
  • Two years' experience in case management or any equivalent combination of training and experience, which would provide the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite and other software systems.
  • Ability to work independently within established policies, procedures, and Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish in verbal and written form
  • Must have a reliable vehicle, possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and maintain adequate auto liability insurance.
  • Must be able to work flexible and/or irregular hours including on call evening hours, and be able to travel as needed

Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient, interactive intake services for the CSBG by phone, face-to face or by mail to determine program eligibility using 125% FPL standards.
  • Enter program applications into the CSBG electronic data system timely and Answer phones, schedule appointments, and provide program information to
  • Provide quick, pro-active response to prevent disconnections, adhering to respond within 48hrs from time of request per written crisis policy.
  • Will coordinate and perform administrative activities and support by storing, retrieving, and integrating information for dissemination to staff and clients, answers and relays calls and messages, with follow-up to recipient in a professional manner.
  • Is required to use a variety of office equipment, such as fax machines, photocopiers, scanners, iPads, computers and video conferencing can use several types of telephone systems along with email programs.
  • Verify earned and unearned income, including wages, child support, TANF, Social Security, Unemployment Insurance, etc.
  • Conduct community outreach and provide mobile intake services to community agencies, senior centers, housing/neighborhood centers, etc.
  • Conduct home visits as necessary for the elderly, handicapped and Respond to applicant questions, assist with verification, and carry out benefits processing in a timely manner
  • Make referrals to our partner programs for CSBG Work as a team member to make CSBG program run as efficiently as Participate in program awareness events held throughout the
