Working for the City and County of Denver offers competitive pay, great benefits, and opportunities to work with purpose. The Office of Social Equity and Innovation (OSEI) is dedicated to creating a city where race and other social identities do not predict life outcomes, striving for equitable opportunities through anti-racist principles, policy shaping, and targeted solutions for marginalized communities. OSEI promotes racial and social equity through training, research, and initiatives. The Office of Neighborhood Safety (ONS) within OSEI is seeking Intake Specialists for the Runaway, Outreach, Notification, and Intervention (RONI) Project and the Denver Anti-Trafficking Alliance High-Risk Youth Multidisciplinary Team (DATA HRY MDT). The RONI Project partners with the Denver Police Department to civilianize responses to juvenile runaway incidents. Intake Specialists will connect with parents/guardians, complete police reports, conduct follow-up, and collaborate with ONS Outreach Specialists to determine next steps, providing services like safety planning, harm reduction, and trauma-informed responses. They will work closely with Youth Outreach Specialists to ensure youth engagement and maintain communication with service providers and families. The DATA HRY MDT aims to identify and address exploitation/human trafficking risks in youth with a victim-centered, trauma-informed approach. Intake Specialists will assess for exploitation/human trafficking risk during RONI intake, assigning high-risk cases to Youth Outreach Specialists for community engagement, safety planning, and harm reduction, with the goal of intervention and prevention. This role requires previous experience working with youth and families, including coordinated case management, outreach, screening, assessment, case planning, crisis response, and ongoing case coordination. Flexibility with non-traditional shifts and days is essential.
