About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehab centers with eighteen locations across seven states. They offer a high standard of medical and clinical treatment, including detox, residential, PHP IOP, and outpatient services, and are JCAHO and CARF accredited, complying with ASAM standards. The company is seeking a full-time Intake Nurse for their residential facility in South Bend, Indiana, inviting compassionate professionals to join their team.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure necessary to practice in-state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Detail-oriented, withy ability to multitask and work efficiently
• Compassionate and dignified character which models recovery principles

Nice To Haves

• Experience in substance use disorder (SUD) and/or behavioral health settings strongly preferred, with demonstrated understanding of recovery-oriented care and patient-centered support.

Responsibilities

• Manage complete medical intake process to ensure a seamless transition into treatment
• Complete all nursing shift duties (vitals, drug screens, scheduling appts and lab work etc.)
• Coordinate pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, and keep accurate med logs
• Collaborate with extended medical, clinical and UR teams for total coordination of care
• Ensure complete, timely and accurate medical documentation for each client
