About The Position

As a Medication Technician, you’ll play a vital role in providing essential daily care to older adults, ensuring their well-being, dignity, and comfort. If you thrive in a supportive, team-oriented environment and love building connections with residents, this is the role for you!

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in medical assisting or a related field is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting, especially working with seniors or in long-term care, is highly preferred.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 35 pounds independently.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medication Administration Records (EMAR) systems is a plus.
  • At least one year of experience administering medications in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administer Medications & Treatments – Pass medications and provide treatments safely according to care plans.
  • Provide Hands-On Care – Assist residents with personal care (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Support Mealtime – Help residents enjoy their meals and stay hydrated for overall health.
  • Promote Mobility – Assist with turning, positioning, and safe transfers to keep residents moving safely.
  • Perform Vital Checks – Measure and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output.
  • Maintain Comfort & Care – Keep residents’ rooms tidy, cozy, and stocked with essentials.
  • Respond to Resident Needs – Answer call lights promptly and provide compassionate support.
  • Monitor Resident Conditions – Report any changes to the leadership team immediately.
  • Demonstrate Respect & Professionalism – Maintain confidentiality while delivering high-quality care.
