Position Summary Oversee daily centralized intake operations, ensuring timely access to publicly funded behavioral health services. Supervise and support Intake Specialists and Access Coordinators, including performance management, coaching, and workflow oversight. Ensure accurate eligibility determinations in accordance with Medicaid, DBH, CARF and any other regulatory bodies and contractual requirements. Monitor and manage high-risk or complex referrals, including individuals with serious mental illness (SMI), co-occuring disorders, crisis presentations, and court-mandated services. Track and analyze key access metrics (e.g., time-to-assessment, referral completion rates) and implement corrective actions as needed. Serve as escalation point for access barriers, service delays, and provider network capacity concerns. Collaborate with provider agencies, hospitals, crisis services, and community partners to ensure appropriate level-of-care placement. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state, federal, and managed care documentation standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits related to access, eligibility, and intake functions. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling.
  • Independently licensed in the State of Ohio, LISW, or LPCC
  • Minimum 3-5 years in behavioral health access, intake, eligibility, or care coordination.
