As part of the Intake team, you will report to the Patient Experience Manager. You will act as the first point of contact for families seeking clinical services. You will answer inquiries, provide information about the practice, and schedule appointments with members of the clinical team. Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in ensuring families relate to the appropriate resources and support to meet their needs. This is an non-exempt, full-time, position that requires a minimum of four (4) days per week in the office, a schedule determined by your supervisor. The in-office requirement and schedule are subject to change based on the needs of the program and the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Complete initial intake screenings, coordinate patient evaluations, and schedule appointments within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Communicate professionally with new patients via phone and email providing information about the Child Mind Institute intake process and answers to frequently asked questions.
  • Oversee patient experience from the time patients contact Child Mind Institute to the time they schedule their first appointment.
  • Review new intakes with the clinical team or use knowledge of the clinical practice for appropriate case assignments.
  • Provide appropriate follow-up to communicate clinicians' recommendations for scheduling at Child Mind Institute or externally.
  • Manage high priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Resolve urgent, sensitive, and confidential issues with discretion and integrity, and strictly protect personal health information.
  • Assist with training new support staff and provide team coverage when necessary.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as needed.
