About The Position

The CBP Workforce Wellness Program (WWP) is seeking an Intake Coordinator/Outreach Hybrid candidate to support U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) personnel and their families. The Intake Coordinator/Outreach Hybrid position is responsible for conducting administrative intakes of eligible CBP personnel and their families as well as conducting outreach and networking activities in the community. Additionally, they conduct initial eligibility screenings for individuals and family members seeking program enrollment. This position is dedicated to ensuring access to health and wellness services for all enrolled individuals in the program with empathy, compassion, and a commitment to promoting wellness and holistic care.

Requirements

  • EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree, in related field preferred, or equivalent related experience.
  • EXPERIENCE: Minimum two years of Case Management experience.
  • Must demonstrate leadership capacity and ability to foster team building and a supportive, flexible environment.
  • WORK LOCATION: El Paso, Texas
  • LICENSES: Valid driver’s license and must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check.
  • OTHER: Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of themselves or others

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with first responders, military personnel, or high-performance occupations is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes initial program intake file for clients and their families entering the program.
  • Promotes wellness initiatives; answers question and collects feedback from participants.
  • Collaborates with Program Manager and Case Manager to assess and analyze client’s general wellness and clinical health needs.
  • Collaboration with external entities for support, events, and other opportunities.
  • Support planning and coordination of the program and its activities.
  • Assign clients to wellness, fitness, clinical, other services and tracks clients progress through the program.
  • Prepare and keep data, files, reports, drafts and accurate reporting of intakes and referral activities.
  • Communicate with team members to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Manages daily assignments and ensures deadlines are met and work is completed correctly.
  • Monitor the progress of the client concurrent with the program and adjust as necessary to ensure the successful completion of intakes.
  • As a team member, provides supplemental assistance of programs such as classes, support groups, life skills classes, and other activities to support client needs.
  • Assists Program Manager and Case Manager in monitoring programs referrals, intakes and wait lists.
  • Maintains accurate, confidential records and reports as required to track and assess client participation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
