About The Position

POSITION OBJECTIVE: This position will be responsible for all new intakes in the Circuit 9 (Orange & Osceola) area and secure licensed out of home care. They will ensure compliance with applicable federal, state & contractual requirements. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Point of contact for all new intakes in Circuit 9. · Identifies appropriate levels of care for children in licensed care. · Serves as centralized point of access for the agency fielding calls and providing information pertaining to licensed out of home care placement. · Collects and maintains demographic data on referrals and active children being served. · Provide coverage as needed for Circuit 18 to include entries of Dually Served Department of Juvenile Justice youth in compliance with procedures set forth. · Tracks daily placement movement including various levels of care and funding requirements. · Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with relevant community agencies and partnerships. · Complete and track Comprehensive Behavioral Health Assessments for newly sheltered children and/or other requested or court ordered CBHA’s. · Other essential tracking to include but not limited to application and redirection of social security benefits or assessment for appropriateness of Agency for Persons with Disabilities application and documentation of citizenship. · Triages calls and communication as it relates to incoming calls including communication about any potential placement disruptions. · Strong customer service orientation at the point of entry. · Reviews comprehensive placement assessment tools for new shelters, updates comprehensive placement assessment tools for children already in licensed care. · Monitors activities to meet specific measureable service objectives to assure compliance with statewide operation goals. · Participates in the agency strategic plan & quality improvement processes · Ability to safely & successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, & other federal, state, & local standards, including meeting qualitative & quantitative productivity standards. · Ability to maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA & other federal, state, & local standards · Ability to comply with all personnel policies & procedures · Attends the CTS staffing’s and communicates pertinent information to the placement team if licensed care will be needed. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years’ experience in child welfare services (providing directly a continuum of services designed to ensure that children are safe and that families. have the necessary support to care for their children successfully.)
  • Extensive knowledge of child welfare operations and mental health services.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to define problems, collect, evaluate and analyze data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to document workflow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices.
  • Ability to analyze, integrate and report data
  • Demonstrate cultural and linguistic competence & sensitivity to population served
  • Thorough Background Screening upon hire including FBI, FDLE, Local Law check, Employment Reference check, DMV check, Criminal Records check, Social Security Trace & Drug Screening. FDLE check will be run at least every 5 years.
  • On-call assignments- Yes
  • Travel when necessary
  • Attend at least 15 hours of in-service training annually
