The Behavioral Health Intake Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for individuals seeking services at the Lawton Behavioral Health office. This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming, supportive, and efficient intake experience for new participants. The Coordinator manages front desk operations, processes referrals, verifies insurance, enters participant information into the Electronic Health Record (EHR), and supports key data coordination and reporting functions for the program.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented with strong process management skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto liability insurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with behavioral health or clinical settings preferred.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the intake process for all new participants, including gathering and verifying demographic, insurance, and eligibility information.
  • Provide a warm and professional front desk presence, supporting individuals as they enter the program.
  • Enter initial participant information into the EHR system accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Verify insurance coverage and assist participants with insurance enrollment when needed.
  • Collect, organize, and process program data and documentation.
  • Support internal and external reporting through data coordination, queries, and documentation.
  • Maintain data integrity, security, and organization across program databases.
  • Retrieve, format, clean, upload, and document new or updated participant data.
  • Perform additional administrative and data-related duties as assigned.
