About The Position

Sentara Health Plans is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as an Insurance Premium Payment Associate! Insurance Premium Payment Associate Responds to record and process telephonic payment inquiries throughout the day in a higher volume call queue environment. Responsible for taking both initial and ongoing payments for insurance products while maintaining a high level of customer service. Responsible to work in multiple computer programs at a time. Must be able to maintain a high level of service to customers while managing changing volume demands of the call center. Sentara Health Plans provides health plan coverage to close to one million members in Virginia. We offer a full suite of commercial products including employee-owned and employer-sponsored plans, as well as Individual & Family Health Plans, Employee Assistance Programs and plans serving Medicare and Medicaid enrollees. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-year customer service experience REQUIRED
• Computer skills & strong verbal skills in English REQUIRED
• Must have experience in a call center & be detailed-oriented highly preferred
• Reliable transportation essential to success in role

Nice To Haves

• Payment and or Billing experience in healthcare is highly preferred
• Healthcare environment experience a plus
• Must have experience in a call center & be detailed-oriented highly preferred
