About The Position

Sentara Health Plans is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as an Insurance Premium Payment Associate! Insurance Premium Payment Associate Responds to record and process telephonic payment inquiries throughout the day in a higher volume call queue environment. Responsible for taking both initial and ongoing payments for insurance products while maintaining a high level of customer service. Responsible to work in multiple computer programs at a time. Must be able to maintain a high level of service to customers while managing changing volume demands of the call center. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-year customer service experience REQUIRED
  • Computer skills & strong verbal skills in English REQUIRED
  • Must have experience in a call center & be detailed-oriented highly preferred
  • Reliable transportation essential to success in role

Nice To Haves

  • Payment and or Billing experience in healthcare is highly preferred
  • Healthcare environment experience a plus
