Due to our continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an Insurance and Accounting Support Specialist. This is a full-time role reporting directly to the Controller and plays a key role in supporting the financial, administrative, and operational functions of our organization. This position is based in-office at our Savage practice, with occasional travel to our St. Paul location. The Insurance and Accounting Specialist supports several core operational areas including payroll, accounts payable, employee benefits administration, provider credentialing, and insurance claims support.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll, accounts payable, accounting, or healthcare administration
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in provider credentialing and claims submission within the dental field specifically
  • Paylocity HRIS experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of payroll systems and compliance requirements
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; QuickBooks and Paylocity experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with multi-entity company structures preferred
  • Experience in dental or healthcare administration is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process bi-weekly and monthly payroll
  • Process payroll transactions and ensure accuracy
  • Maintain payroll records, reports, and documentation
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies
  • Assist with employee benefits administration including enrollments, changes, and employee questions
  • Manage the accounts payable process from invoice receipt through payment
  • Review automated financial transactions
  • Manage unclaimed property filings
  • Assist with month-end reporting
  • Prepare quarterly sales tax filings
  • Lead annual inventory counts
  • Support fixed asset and property accounting
  • Assist with tax document preparation for the external tax team
  • Assist with audit and financial statement compilation work
  • Assist with doctor credentialing and recredentialing with insurance providers
  • Support insurance claims submission and follow-up when needed
  • Maintain credentialing documentation and payer enrollment records
  • Provide administrative support across departments as needed
  • Support operational initiatives across multiple practice locations
  • Identify opportunities to streamline administrative and financial workflows
