About The Position

This position is responsible for the operation and accuracy of electronic monitoring and control equipment associated with Water Division assets and infrastructure.

Requirements

Two (2) years of experience in maintenance and repair of communication, electrical and/or control equipment, or related experience.
Candidates must have the minimum amount of work experience. Years of experience are based upon a full-time work schedule (2,080 hours per year). The sum of an applicant's full-time and/or part-time qualifying work experience must meet or exceed the stated minimum qualification. Education will not substitute for the required work experience; however, related unpaid and/or volunteer work experience may be used as qualifying work experience.
Equivalent to an associate or vocational/technical school degree in Electrical or Industrial Control Sciences
The term "equivalent" means that directly related work experience exceeding the required work experience will substitute in equal one-year increments for college-level education (2 additional years for an associate degree and 4 additional years for a bachelor's degree).
Valid driver's license
Water Treatment Plant: Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) Grade 1 Water Treatment System Operator Certification (must obtain within one year of hire)

Responsibilities

Inspect, program, troubleshoot, calibrate, install, repair and maintain electrical and electronic monitoring components and communications and control systems.
Install wires and perform electrical work on systems up to 480 volts
Coordinate work and review work quality for vendors and contractors
Maintain inventory and procures parts and materials as needed
Assist with modifications to Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition software
May perform Plant Operator, Senior responsibilities related to water and wastewater treatment, when appropriately trained and certified
Document activities in asset management and workorder systems
May perform responsibilities of a similar nature and level as assigned
