About The Position

The Instrumentation and Controls Engineer will evaluate and steward discipline engineering work performed internally and by contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements. This role supports the effective execution of engineering design activities and ensures clear, timely communication across project teams. In addition to strong technical expertise, the role requires effective communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Broad knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and applicable safety criteria
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English, particularly in technical and business contexts
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and changing priorities

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and coordinate discipline engineering technical work products
  • Coordinate and communicate technical issues affecting engineering design, safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Review and comment on contractor and subcontractor engineering work, including drawings and technical documentation
  • Identify and assess deviations from Contract Technical Specifications and regulatory requirements; maintain the Deviation Control Log
  • Steward engineering queries and technical information requests from contractors and subcontractors
  • Keep the Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager informed of progress, deviations, and execution concerns
  • Participate in discipline engineering reviews at contractor and subcontractor locations
  • Drive capital efficiency through optimized engineering design
  • Support internal engineering initiatives and Global Practice activities as directed by leadership
